The Gorillaz, Damon Albarn (Blur) and Jamie Hewlett (Tank Girl)'s virtual band, are a beloved pop culture presence.

They're also mixed reality pioneers who released one hell of a mobile app. A mobile that, in fact, won a Clio Grand award.
